    Description

    The Nebraska Small Business Innovation Research / Small Business Tech Transfer (SBIR/STTR) Grant Program supports Nebraska-based small businesses engaged in innovative research and commercialization activities. The program provides financial assistance in three phases:

    • Phase 0: Reimbursement for proposal preparation costs for federal SBIR/STTR Phase I applications.
    • Phase I: Matching grants for businesses that have secured a federal SBIR/STTR Phase I award.
    • Phase II: Matching grants for businesses that have secured a federal SBIR/STTR Phase II award.

    This initiative is designed to help Nebraska businesses compete for and leverage federal innovation funding, accelerate research and development, and facilitate commercialization of new technologies.
