Description
The NEC C&C Foundation presents the annual C&C Prize to recognize distinguished contributions to research and development or pioneering work in semiconductors, computers, telecommunications, and technologies that integrate these fields. Established in 1985 with funds donated by NEC Corporation, the Foundation uses the prize to highlight achievements that have advanced what it calls C&C technologies.
This is recognition for work already accomplished, not funding for a proposed research project. The Foundation’s Awards Committee selects no more than two prize-winning groups each year. Prizes may recognize individuals whose direct work or leadership contributed to an achievement, or a team whose members worked together to reach significant milestones.
