The Neighborhood Grants Program (NGP) of the Community Foundation for Monterey County provides financial and technical support to grassroots, resident-led, and volunteer-driven groups in Monterey County. The program funds projects or a series of activities that address unmet needs, foster leadership, increase community participation, and create positive change at the neighborhood level. Projects must be designed and implemented by local groups and must directly benefit the community where members live. Since 1997, the NGP has awarded over $1 million to local groups.
