This grant supports nonprofit organizations based in New England (Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont) to present public performances, readings, and screenings by regional, national, or international artists. The program aims to increase community access to artistic excellence, provide fair compensation and opportunities for artists, foster meaningful connections between artists and communities, and strengthen the region’s arts presenting and touring infrastructure. NEST funds a wide range of disciplines, including dance, folk art, interdisciplinary work, media, music, musical theater, opera, poetry, storytelling, and theater. Artists must maintain a permanent residence in New England and be listed as NEST-eligible in the CreativeGround directory.
