The Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Foundation (NETRF) Pilot Awards support pilot and feasibility studies that can be completed within one year. Proposals should have one main aim or two smaller aims and typically involve one principal investigator, with or without collaborators. NETRF encourages collaborations across scientific disciplines to investigate neuroendocrine cancers in innovative and transformative ways.
Projects must advance at least one pillar of NETRF’s Research Roadmap: early detection, new therapeutic development, or precision medicine. NETRF primarily supports transformative basic and translational research, while also considering especially compelling clinical research positioned to accelerate progress for patients. The program seeks studies that deepen understanding of tumor biology, address therapeutic roadblocks, and help develop earlier diagnosis, more effective treatments, and personalized care.
