    Description

The Neurocritical Care Society’s Curing Coma® Campaign supports new and emerging investigators and clinicians pursuing innovative research on coma and disorders of consciousness. Small Grants for Big Ideas funds projects focused on improving recovery of consciousness through early intervention and long-term support, with the goal of improving care and outcomes for affected patients and families.

The program supports promising early-stage ideas that may be too early for larger grant mechanisms. Projects can generate pilot data, establish feasibility and position researchers for future external funding. Selection priorities include alignment with the Curing Coma® Campaign mission, multidisciplinary collaboration, originality, feasibility and a thoughtful dissemination plan. Proposed work should be realistically achievable within one year.
