The Nevins Teaching and Clinical Research Fellowship and the Nevins BioHorizons Fellowship are designed to support the retention of outstanding early-career periodontal clinical researchers and educators. These fellowships provide personal funding to full-time periodontal educators in the United States who are board certified and have been teaching for at least one, but no more than five, full-time academic years. Established in honor of Dr. Myron Nevins, with additional support from BioHorizons, both fellowships share identical application criteria and aim to help recipients manage educational debt while establishing themselves in academic roles. The program demonstrates the AAP Foundation’s commitment to advancing periodontology through research and education.
