    Description

New America’s Fellows Program supports thinkers pursuing bold ideas about pressing public issues. Run by New America, the program funds books, films, photo essays, longform storytelling, and policy projects designed to reach broad audiences and change how people think. Projects may advance public policy ideas through domestic or international perspectives or illuminate longstanding dilemmas of American life from new angles.

The fellowship provides an intellectual home for sustained research, reporting, analysis, and storytelling beyond the pressures of the daily news cycle and specialized academia. Alongside funding, fellows receive opportunities to learn from their cohort, connect with platforms and partners, and engage with others at New America. The program values voices reflecting the diverse backgrounds and ideologies of the American community.
