Description
This program funds research projects that advance knowledge, tools, and techniques in communication sciences and disorders. The grant is open to both new and experienced investigators who wish to pursue new research directions or pilot studies, with a focus on impactful and innovative work that addresses unmet needs in the field. Special endowed funding is available for projects in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and swallowing disorders. Projects are evaluated for their significance, innovation, research rigor, feasibility, and the expertise and resources of the applicant and institution. The grant aims to seed new ideas that can influence clinical practice and the broader discipline.
