The New England Dance Fund, administered by the New England Foundation for the Arts (NEFA), supports choreographers of all genres and backgrounds pursuing specific opportunities for artistic or professional advancement. The fund focuses on opportunities that significantly affect an artist’s dance making or advance their role within the regional dance landscape, rather than ongoing operations or activity.
Priority goes to timely opportunities, with the goal of supporting a diverse group of artists across cultures, disciplines, aesthetics, and career stages throughout all six New England states. Supported activities include residencies, research, training, tour planning, documentation, equipment, and mentorship. The program is supported by The Aliad Fund at the Boston Foundation.
