Description
New England Institute of Technology (NEIT) is a Real Skills for Youth partner. The program is a PrepareRI initiative supported by the Governor’s Workforce Board within the Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training. It aims to prepare young Rhode Islanders for college and careers through career exposure, skill-building, and work-based learning.
NEIT Summer Camp provides one-week technology experiences with projects, workshops, and employer speakers. Topics include graphics, robotics and drones, business, and healthcare. In From Eras to Enterprises: Building Businesses the Taylor Swift Way, students create and operate a merchandise business while developing branding, sales, marketing, planning, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
