Description
This grant program, administered by the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry, provides incentive and reimbursement funding to employers, employer associations, and registered apprenticeship sponsors in Minnesota seeking to create new or expand existing registered apprenticeship programs (RAPs) in apprenticeable occupations. The program prioritizes high-demand sectors including education, semiconductors, IT, advanced manufacturing, healthcare, hospitality, the public sector, and construction. Funding is intended to help offset the costs of launching or growing an apprenticeship program, including expenses for staff, curriculum development, recruitment, tools, supplies, and tuition for related instruction. The program is fully funded by a State Apprenticeship Expansion Formula grant from the U.S. Department of Labor.
