Description
The New Hampshire Clean Diesel Grant Program is a competitive reimbursement program funded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency through the Diesel Emissions Reduction Act (DERA). NHDES administers it through the Technical Services Bureau within its Air Resources Division to reduce harmful diesel emissions and protect public health.
Eligible work includes on-road and non-road vehicle, equipment, and engine replacements; certified remanufacture systems; marine shore power; truck stop electrification; and EPA-verified idle reduction, aerodynamic technologies, and low rolling resistance tires. Replacement technologies include battery, grid, and hydrogen fuel-cell electricity, CNG, propane/LPG, hybrid-electric, gasoline, and certified diesel. The program also recognizes public and economic benefits, including jobs, publicly accessible transportation, tourism, community investment, and reduced service costs for local governments or schools.
