Description
The New Jersey Department of Health’s New Jersey Cancer Education and Early Detection Program (NJCEED) supports work that increases awareness of individual risk for breast, cervical, prostate, and colorectal cancers. It aims to reduce cancer-related illness and death by promoting appropriate screening for early detection and facilitating timely referrals for treatment.
NJCEED provides outreach, education, screening, case management, tracking, follow-up, and assistance connecting patients to treatment. Its services are for people who are uninsured or under-insured and whose income is at or below 250% of the federal poverty level. Services are delivered through contracted lead agencies across New Jersey.
