Description
This grant supports the continuation of the New Jersey Youth Corps (NJYC) program, a statewide initiative by the New Jersey Department of Labor & Workforce Development aimed at reengaging disconnected, out-of-school youth ages 16–25 who lack a high school diploma. The NJYC program provides full-time, cohort-based education and service learning, individualized counseling, and transition services to help participants overcome barriers, achieve a high school equivalency or measurable skill gains, and successfully transition to employment or further education along a defined career pathway.
