Description
The New York Main Street (NYMS) Program provides financial resources and technical assistance to strengthen the economic vitality of New York State’s traditional Main Streets and neighborhoods. Funding is available for building renovations, downtown anchor projects, and technical assistance, all aimed at revitalizing historic downtowns, mixed-use commercial districts, and village centers. Eligible activities include façade and storefront renovations, interior commercial and residential upgrades, and streetscape enhancements. The program is designed to foster small business development, expand affordable housing in mixed-use districts, and encourage the preservation of significant or historic buildings.
