Description
The New York Truck-Voucher Incentive Program (NYTVIP), administered by NYSERDA under PON 4089, accelerates adoption of zero-emission medium- and heavy-duty vehicles and non-road equipment. It supports all-electric and hydrogen fuel cell electric technologies, reducing harmful emissions and transportation’s dependence on fossil fuels. Commercial, nonprofit, and public-sector fleets receive vouchers as reductions to the purchase or lease price through participating dealers.
The program has three funding tracks: Class 3–8 zero-emission vehicles, zero-emission non-road equipment, and electric transit buses. Incentives recognize small fleets, operation in Disadvantaged Communities, and replacement of older diesel vehicles. Class 3 and Class 4 funding is fully subscribed, and new applications for that category are no longer accepted. Funding remains available for Class 5–8 vehicles and non-road equipment.
