Description
The Niagara Area Foundation (NAF), offered through the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo, supports projects that benefit Niagara County and align with its youth enrichment or environmental goals. Established in 2000 by local leaders from the private and nonprofit sectors, NAF is guided by a Council representing the county as a whole and committed to county-wide philanthropy.
The program’s 2026 priorities emphasize stronger communities through positive youth development, equity, and inclusion, alongside education and awareness of a healthy, vibrant, and safe ecosystem. Supported approaches include early childhood education, youth literacy, treatment for learning obstacles, arts and cultural participation, environmental education, and public green spaces. Both priorities favor projects located within or serving low-income urban or rural communities in Niagara County.
