Description
This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) invites applications for NIDDK Disease Research and Translational Core Centers (P30 Clinical Trial Optional). The program funds Core Centers that are part of an integrated biomedical and translational research initiative focused on cystic fibrosis, diabetes, nutrition, obesity, liver, and digestive diseases. These Centers are expected to:
- Enhance multidisciplinary collaboration, rigor, reproducibility, replication, and cost efficiencies at institutions with an established research base in NIDDK mission areas.
- Provide a robust mentoring environment for trainees and early-stage investigators.
- Support a Pilot and Feasibility Grant Program, a Scientific Catalyst Program, and shared access to specialized Core services.
- Foster research team building, investigator mentoring, seminars, workshops, and other activities to strengthen the scientific community.
- Offer shared resources such as research consultation, access to specialized equipment or models, technical resources, and training overseen by recognized experts.
