Description
The NIH Director's Pioneer Award is designed to support exceptionally creative scientists who propose bold and highly innovative research projects with the potential to transform important areas of biomedical or behavioral science. The program encourages projects that explore new scientific directions, distinctly different from the investigator’s current research and existing work in the field. This award is part of the NIH Common Fund’s High-Risk, High-Reward Research Program, and welcomes applications from all research areas relevant to the NIH mission. Both clinical trial and non-clinical trial projects are eligible.
