Summary: Supports multi-level and/or multi-domain intervention research to reduce disparities in liver diseases and liver cancer among U.S. populations experiencing health disparities.
Key Information: Clinical trials are optional; simplified review criteria apply for due dates after January 25, 2025; NCI will not consider proposals >$500,000 direct costs/year.
This NIH initiative funds research projects that develop and test interventions aimed at reducing disparities in liver diseases and liver cancer among populations experiencing health disparities in the United States. The program encourages multi-level and/or multi-domain approaches, including clinical, behavioral, social, and policy interventions, to address the complex factors contributing to these disparities. Projects may focus on prevention, screening, treatment, management, or survivorship, and should be tailored to the needs of populations disproportionately affected by liver diseases and liver cancer.
The opportunity is open to both clinical trial and non-clinical trial research. Applications will be reviewed using simplified NIH review criteria for due dates after January 25, 2025.
