Description
The NIH Research Education Program – Research Experiences (Parent R25, Clinical Trial Not Allowed) provides support for research education activities in the mission areas of the NIH. The program aims to:
- Complement and enhance the training of the nation’s workforce in biomedical, behavioral, and clinical research.
- Recruit individuals with specific specialty or disciplinary backgrounds into research careers in these fields.
- Foster a better understanding of biomedical, behavioral, and clinical research and its implications.
Programs funded under this mechanism are expected to offer research experiences that are distinct from existing federally funded training programs and are not intended for clinical trials.
