Description
The American Chemical Society’s Green Chemistry Institute offers the Nina McClelland Memorial Award to help postdoctoral scholars from U.S. and international institutions attend the annual Green Chemistry & Engineering Conference. Recipients present their research in a talk or poster and are recognized at the conference. Established in 2021, the award honors Dr. Nina McClelland, a champion of green chemistry who served on the institute’s advisory board for 17 years.
The award highlights research with the potential for significant innovation in green chemistry or engineering. Relevant approaches include improving resource efficiency, reducing toxics and pollution, designing systems holistically, and applying life cycle thinking.
