Description
This program supports small-scale research projects that address occupational safety and health. The primary goals are to (1) develop understanding of risks and conditions associated with occupational diseases and injuries, (2) explore methods for reducing these risks and preventing hazardous exposures in the workplace, and (3) translate scientific findings into effective prevention practices or products. The mechanism is designed for research that can be accomplished with limited resources, such as pilot and feasibility studies, secondary data analyses, or development of research methodologies. Applicants must clearly articulate the occupational health burden addressed, the need for their proposed activities, and the anticipated impact during and beyond the project period.
