Description
The New Jersey Commission on Spinal Cord Research, within the New Jersey Department of Health, offers this award to help young investigators and trainees entering spinal cord research learn a specific technique through an in-person visit to another laboratory. Training should build skills for the recipient’s future research and relate to the Commission’s priorities: developing interventions and cures for paralysis and other consequences of spinal cord injury and disease.
The visit is intended to provide in-depth, hands-on instruction from experts and create connections that may lead to future collaborations. Applicants are encouraged to visit a laboratory in New Jersey or elsewhere in the United States. The technique is expected to be unavailable at the applicant’s current laboratory or institution.
