Description
The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) funds projects that advance the Recycling Enhancement Act by improving existing recycling resources, tools, or methods, or creating new ones. Grants support recycling demonstration, research, and education, including professional training. The program is funded through the State Recycling Fund and administered by NJDEP’s Division of Sustainable Waste Management.
NJDEP favors work that can produce practical information for recycling programs, regulatory decisions, and processes. It also favors partnerships with qualified entities whose expertise strengthens a project. Research need not take place on campus, but proposals must benefit Recycling Enhancement Act goals in New Jersey.
