Description
The Sewer Overflow and Stormwater Reuse Municipal Grants program supports infrastructure for combined sewer overflows (CSOs), sanitary sewer overflows (SSOs), and stormwater management. Offered through the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and the New Jersey Water Bank’s Clean Water State Revolving Fund, it funds capital-improvement planning, design, construction, and equipment purchases. Eligible projects fall under combined sewer overflow correction or stormwater and subsurface drainage water.
Awards are ranked by project priority and readiness to proceed. The program gives priority to disadvantaged communities, projects implementing long-term control plans for CSOs or SSOs, and projects included in the Clean Water State Revolving Fund Intended Use Plan.
