Description
The New Jersey Commission on Cancer Research (NJCCR), within the New Jersey Department of Health, offers this competitive opportunity to Qualifying Research Institutions (QRIs). It supports structured, four- to eight-week fellowship training programs that introduce first- and second-year medical students to oncology and cancer research early in their education.
Programs are intended to build foundational knowledge and interest in careers across the cancer research continuum. They should provide educational experiences, mentorship, and hands-on research opportunities, with exposure to disciplines such as medical, surgical, and radiation oncology, palliative care, survivorship, and pathology.
