This award honors a graduate student and their preceptor(s) for exceptional achievements in chemistry, as demonstrated by a recently completed Ph.D. dissertation. Both the student and preceptor(s) receive a $3,000 cash prize and a plaque inscribed with Nobel laureates' signatures. The preceptor’s plaque is intended for permanent display in the institution’s chemistry department. The award also reimburses up to $2,500 in travel expenses for attending the award presentation. Its purpose is to celebrate excellence in graduate-level chemical research and mentorship, regardless of nationality or institutional affiliation.
