The Nomura Foundation’s International Exchange Grant supports invitations of overseas-based researchers to Japan for work in the social sciences, particularly law, political science, and economics. Researchers in Japan arrange the activities, which may include investigations and collaborative research with visiting scholars.

The grant also supports visiting researchers’ participation in international conferences, symposia, academic meetings, and scholarly lectures. They may attend, present research findings, or join discussions. Through both direct collaboration and academic gatherings, the program promotes international exchange in social science research.
