Description
The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) offers Non-Motorized Trail Grants through its Community Conservation Partnerships Program, managed by the Bureau of Recreation and Conservation. The grants support designated routes with public access for recreation or alternative transportation, including walking, hiking, bicycling, cross-country skiing and horseback riding.
Funding can support trail planning, land acquisition, development, rehabilitation and maintenance, as well as trail-related facilities. It can also support equipment for trail construction or maintenance and educational programs addressing trail-use safety and environmental protection. The program contributes to DCNR’s work to expand and connect Pennsylvania’s trail network.
