Description
The Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP) is a competitive, annually appropriated Department of Homeland Security program administered federally by FEMA and offered in New Mexico through NMDHSEM. It supports physical security, cybersecurity, and facility hardening at nonprofit organizations at high risk of terrorist or other extremist attacks. Funding connects proposed investments to the threats, vulnerabilities, and potential consequences documented for each facility.
The program funds planning, equipment, training, and exercises that close identified security gaps. Examples include access controls, cameras, screening equipment, fencing, barriers, contracted security guards, security plans, active-shooter training, and response exercises.
