Description
The Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) funds projects that put nonpoint source pollution controls into practice as part of its statewide effort to prevent degradation of water quality and quantity. Through its Clean Water Act Section 319(h) program, DEQ supports implementation of best management practices in designated Virginia watersheds and enters into subrecipient agreements through grants and cooperative agreements.
The request for applications also designates funding for septic repair, replacement, and connections. DEQ’s Office of Watersheds and Local Government Assistance Programs administers its nonpoint source grant programs.
