Description
The Nonpoint Source Management Program, administered by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP), provides funding to reduce diffuse water pollution originating from stormwater runoff and other nonpoint sources. The program supports demonstration and implementation of best management practices (BMPs), green stormwater infrastructure, groundwater protection, septic-to-sewer conversions, and public education initiatives. Funding is provided through both the Federal Clean Water Act Section 319(h) grants and the State Water-quality Assistance Grants (SWAG), aiming to improve water quality in Florida’s impaired waterbodies and priority watersheds.
