Description
Greater Worcester Community Foundation’s Nonprofit Effectiveness Grant Program supports specific projects that strengthen a nonprofit’s internal operations, leadership, and ability to navigate change. These capacity-building investments are intended to help organizations fulfill their missions, deliver critical services, and become more equitable employers, rather than fund routine operations or program delivery.
Supported work includes organizational assessments, departmental infrastructure improvements, executive transitions, succession planning, and strategic planning for major mission changes. The program also supports inclusive leadership development, legal counsel related to changing laws or compliance requirements, crisis communications, and contingency planning for changing business models or revenue streams. Projects are assessed for their connection to broader organizational strategy, urgency and risks of inaction, and clearly defined equitable outcomes.
