Funding Amounts: Up to $25,000 per grant; average grant size $10,000–$15,000

Description
The Community Foundation of Central Georgia’s Nonprofit Grant Program supports community-based charitable organizations carrying out projects that improve quality of life in Central Georgia. Unrestricted funds give the Foundation’s Board of Directors discretion to address urgent community needs and opportunities. The Foundation administers the program, with its Grants Committee reviewing applications and its Board providing final approval.
Funding priorities include expanding proven solutions, reaching a broad segment of the community, and improving organizational efficiency. The program also favors projects that encourage self-help or self-sufficiency among disadvantaged or disabled individuals, promote matching gifts or strengthen fundraising capabilities, and bring nonprofit groups together to develop innovative, more efficient approaches to community issues.
