Description
The Nonprofit Savings Account Challenge Grants are designed to help South Dakota-based nonprofits establish or grow permanent endowment funds with the South Dakota Community Foundation (SDCF). The program incentivizes nonprofits to build long-term financial stability by offering a matching grant: for every $4 raised by the organization, SDCF will provide $1, up to a maximum of $20,000. The resulting endowed funds are invested in perpetuity, providing annual distributions (currently 4.5% of the fund's average fair market value) to support the nonprofit’s mission and ongoing operations.
This initiative is open to both new and existing SDCF fund partners and aims to foster organizational sustainability and community impact across South Dakota.
