--- ## Description The Norman Hackerman Award in Chemical Research, presented by The Welch Foundation, honors early-career chemical scientists in Texas who have made significant contributions to the fundamental understanding of chemistry. The award aims to encourage promising scientists at the outset of their independent research careers. The recipient is selected based on recommendations from the Foundation's Scientific Advisory Board and a final decision by the Board of Directors.
