The North Dakota EPSCoR State Office supports STEM outreach led by North Dakota institutions of higher education, STEM science museums, and technology parks. The program funds activities that strengthen STEM education and STEM identity among youth across the state, particularly activities that engage students and increase their awareness of and interest in STEM careers. Faculty and researcher engagement is highly encouraged.
The program advances ND EPSCoR’s mission to increase statewide STEM capacity and competitiveness while strengthening the pathway to the next generation of workforce members, educators, and researchers. Proposals are evaluated for alignment with that mission and the current North Dakota Science and Technology Plan. Innovative ideas, new initiatives, and expanded programming receive priority over proposals seeking to continue or sustain existing programs.
