Description
The Northern Member Chapter College Scholarship provides educational support through the Association for Iron and Steel Technology Foundation and is administered by AIST’s Northern Local Member Chapter. Its objective is to reward and encourage Canadian students with scientific abilities to prepare for careers in engineering by supporting attendance at a Canadian institution of higher education. Eligible studies include engineering and technical programs, with specified science subjects considered when there is no engineering applicant.
The College Scholarship is distinct from the Northern Member Chapter University Scholarship, and each requires a separate application. Both belong to AIST’s broader Member Chapter Scholarships program, through which 22 local chapters issue more than 43 scholarships annually to qualified individuals within their local regions. This is a student scholarship rather than funding for a specified research project.
