--- ## Description The Northern Member Chapter University Scholarship, administered by the Association for Iron and Steel Technology (AIST) Foundation, is designed to encourage Canadian students with scientific and technical abilities to pursue careers in engineering and related fields. The program aims to foster academic achievement and engagement with the steel industry, providing financial support to eligible students attending a Canadian university or college within the Northern Member Chapter area. --- ## Due Dates - June 30, 2026: Application deadline for the Northern Member Chapter University Scholarship (return application and attachments by this date) --- ## Funding Amount - One scholarship awarded annually - Value: $2,000 CAD for one academic year - Additional benefits: One-year complimentary Material Advantage student membership to AIST and invitations (with a guest) to two AIST Northern Chapter dinner meetings --- ## Eligibility Applicants must meet the following criteria: - Be the child (natural, adopted, or ward) of a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant who is a member in good standing of AIST **or** be an AIST Student Member through the Material Advantage Student Program residing in or attending a university/college in the AIST Northern Member Chapter area. - Accepted as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student in an eligible program at an accredited Canadian university or college. - Fields of study: Engineering, technical programs, technician, or technologist.
