Description
The Northern Monterey County Foundation (NMCF), founded in 2016, is an affiliate fund of the Community Foundation for Monterey County. It supports organizations with the leadership and capacity to provide important community resources and services in Northern Monterey County. Community volunteers review applications against priorities intended to direct available funding toward the area's highest-priority needs.
The program focuses on health and human services that address basic living needs, improve health outcomes, and strengthen emotional well-being for individuals of all ages and families. It also supports out-of-school academic support for prekindergarten through grade 12, youth development and enrichment, and youth-led skill-building programs. Preference goes to locally based organizations with less access to other support, where a small grant can make a meaningful difference.
