    Description

This opportunity invites applications for Diabetes Research Centers (DRCs) designed to support and enhance the national research effort in diabetes, its complications, and related endocrine and metabolic diseases. The program aims to bring together basic and clinical investigators to foster communication, multidisciplinary collaboration, and to increase the effectiveness of ongoing research. DRCs provide shared access to specialized technical resources (research cores) and support a Pilot and Feasibility Program (P&F), creating an environment for scientific accomplishments beyond what individual grants can achieve. New centers with diverse perspectives, innovative resources, or unique scientific themes are encouraged, as are centers that propose enhanced synergy with other NIDDK-funded programs and provide strong mentoring for future diabetes researchers.
