The Berthiaume Institute for Precision Health (BIPH) at the University of Notre Dame supports undergraduate students conducting precision health-related research through its summer fellowship program. Fellows undertake 10 weeks of research with faculty mentorship on projects aligned with the institute’s research mission. The program emphasizes the quality of the proposed research and students’ potential for scientific growth.
Alongside their research, fellows join a summer research community with students from other institutes and centers across campus. Shared programming includes professional development sessions, seminars, networking opportunities, and social activities. The two-stage nomination and application process is designed to ensure effective matching between students and host laboratories.
