    Description

The Franco Institute at the University of Notre Dame provides Event Co-Sponsorship Grants for scholarly and cultural events addressing intellectual issues aligned with its mission. Funding covers partial costs of professional or scholarly society convenings at Notre Dame, academic conferences, lecture or performance series, and single significant visiting lecturers or performers. Conferences, lectures, and performances may take place on campus or at the university’s Global Gateways.

Proposals are assessed for intellectual merit, alignment with the Institute’s mission, and feasibility. Supported events may also receive logistical assistance, including a consultation about conference details and a draft budget, scheduling suggestions, links to international venue applications, and contacts for on-campus event services. Financial and logistical support depend on funding and staff availability.
