The Franco Family Institute for Liberal Arts and the Public Good at the University of Notre Dame provides partial support for academic lectures and conferences through this grant. Events must take place on the Notre Dame campus, including university gateways. The program supports academic event activity within the institute’s broader support for faculty scholarship across the arts, humanities, and social sciences.
Preference is given to projects with matching support from other sources, such as foundations, departments, or institutes. The award contributes toward event costs rather than serving as the sole source of funding. Festschriften and book launches are not supported.
