Description
This is a three-phase challenge competition from NIH to crowdsource the development of innovative digital health applications that empower individuals living with, or at risk for, autoimmune diseases to monitor and understand the impact of their diets and nutritional changes on their health. The competition seeks digital tools—such as mobile apps, wearables, remote monitoring, and AI-enabled platforms—that enable real-time tracking of diet, symptoms, and health outcomes. The initiative is designed to foster collaboration among patients, advocacy groups, clinicians, scientists, and technologists, and is closely aligned with the NIH-Wide Strategic Plan for Autoimmune Disease Research. The aim is to accelerate progress in understanding how nutrition affects immune system health, with a focus on user engagement, scientific rigor, and real-world applicability.
