Description
The Novartis Office of Grants & Education (NOGE) supports innovative, independent continuing medical education on Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), myotonic dystrophy type 1 (DM1), and facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD). Programs should provide fair-balanced, evidence-based, current scientific information to improve patient care, without commercial bias or promotion. The geographic focus is the United States, at national, regional, or local levels.
The RFP addresses delayed recognition, diagnostic confirmation, genetic testing and counseling, disease progression, and evolving treatments. It also seeks education that strengthens multidisciplinary care, consistent monitoring, individualized care planning, and assessment of patient and caregiver burden. Supported approaches include on-demand web education and expert commentary, case-based learning, and virtual or live grand rounds. Program placement is independent of Novartis and should reflect appropriate audience-reach efforts.
