--- ## Description This grant supports collaborative research and innovation projects focused on developing novel, next-generation battery concepts by leveraging advanced materials and technologies. The aim is to enhance energy storage and management capabilities for applications in electric mobility, aviation, maritime, and stationary grid or industrial storage. Projects should address one of three areas: low-cost battery chemistries for mobility and stationary use, high-performance batteries for demanding sectors, or durable advanced materials and cell-level concepts for stationary grid or industrial energy storage. The scope includes reducing reliance on critical raw materials, lowering costs, improving structural integration, and advancing sustainability, safety, and recyclability. All projects must consider scalability, manufacturability, market relevance, and implement the Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) framework.
