Description
BiodivFuture is the sixth joint call under the Biodiversa+ partnership, co-funded by the European Commission. The Research Council of Finland is a participating funder. The call supports forward-looking, transnational research and innovation on biodiversity and novel ecosystems: how they function, what drives change, and the biological and socio-ecological consequences of future trajectories. Projects may study terrestrial, freshwater, marine or coastal areas in any region of the world.
Proposals may address one or more of three themes: novel ecosystem functioning and its socio-economic and socio-cultural links; pathways to novel ecosystems amid uncertainty; and equitable sharing of biodiversity benefits. The call seeks actionable knowledge aligned with the sustainability goals of the Kunming–Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework.
